Ade Diaz Primadharma, Hanis Khalbi Uriatint, and Permata Indhira H.S, students of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, majoring in Islamic Banking and Islamic Accounting, secured the third place in the “Student Business Innovation (KIBM) 2020” competition held by the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business IAIN Salatiga on December 2, 2020. This virtual event under the theme “Business Innovation in the Pandemic Era” was attended by active college students from Central Java and Yogyakarta. The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their innovative product ideas, target market identification, marketing strategies, and product development through engaging video presentations. In their participation, these three students presented an engaging and innovative video showcasing the sale of bitter melon snacks.
Despite the limitations imposed by the pandemic, they managed to engage in discussions with each other. They believed that geographical distance did not hinder their creativity, as they hailed from diverse regions. Ade Diaz hails from Yogyakarta, Hanis from Lombok, and Permata Indhira from Cikarang.
“We would like to thank everyone who has helped and supported us in achieving this success. Winning is an honor for us, it’s the experience that we truly seek. We are thrilled to embark on this new journey, which we see as a stepping stone for our future. We consider ourselves fortunate to be students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga,” said the student representative.
Hopefully, in the future, all the students will feel empowered to try without fear of failure, as failure is often the first step towards success.
