Offering a Concept of Sharia Financial Product Marketplace, FEBI Students Win 1st Place in National Scientific Writing Competition at UNS

Students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Islam (FEBI) UIN Sunan Kalijaga, David Rizky Yulianto (ES 17), Mishbah Fikri Tanwifi (ES 17), and Mubasysyyratul Ummah Sapsuha (ES 17) secured first place in the National Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) at the Accounting Society in Versatility (ACTIVE) 2019 event held by the Accounting Department Student Association at Sebelas Maret University.

The national-level LKTI ACTIVE 2019 aims to foster students’ interest in writing, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation, preparing them for the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0. The theme of LKTI ACTIVE 2019 was “The Role of Financial Technology in Optimizing National Economic in The Digital Era.”

“The rapid growth of financial industry in Indonesia cannot reach its full potential unless economic actors understand the potential of the financial services offered by each financial industry. Therefore, in this case, society requires a practical and targeted solution to enhance literacy and inclusion concerning financial industry products,” said Rizky, a member of the RnD staff at KASEI ForSEBI and the Daily Manager of the Campus Da’wah Institution at Sunan Kalijaga.

Based on the conditions of financial literacy and inclusion of the Indonesian society, Rizky’s team, under guidance and input from their advisor, Achmad Nurdany, authored a scientific work entitled “ICIF (INDONESIA CORPORATE INDUSTRIAL FINANCE): A SOLUTION TO IMPROVE THE GROWTH OF THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY IN THE ERA OF THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0.”

The National LKTI commenced with registration and abstract submission, followed by the initial stage of abstract screening, which allowed numerous teams to advance to the subsequent stage. The selected abstracts underwent the second stage, encompassing administrative selection and manuscript evaluation. Only the top 10 works were eligible to present their scientific papers and partake in the complete series of events at ACTIVE 2019.

Ultimately, three teams were declared as winners. UIN Sunan Kalijaga secured the 1st place and was awarded the UNS Rector’s Trophy. The University of Indonesia claimed the 2nd place and received the OJK RI Trophy, while Gadjah Mada University clinched the 3rd place and the Best Presentation Group, earning the FEB Dean’s Trophy and the ACTIVE 2019 trophy.
