The Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta organized The 2nd International Conference on Islamic Economics and Business (ICIEB) 2023 at the Prof. R.H.A. Soenardjo, S.H., UIN Sunan Kalijaga building, held from October 5-6, 2023. This international conference is part of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta's efforts and commitment to actively participate on the international stage.
In his opening speech, Dean of FEBI, Dr. Afdawaiza, S.Ag., M.Ag, expressed FEBI's commitment as an educational institution that can bridge the gap between knowledge and practice through international conferences. He hopes that organizing The 2nd ICIEB 2023 can be a strategy to realize FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga's aspirations to become a world-class university. Furthermore, this international conference adopts the theme "Islamic Economics Momentum for SDGs in The Digital Era Transformation." "I hope FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga can contribute to the development of ideas, concepts, and solutions related to current issues relevant to the acceleration of Islamic Economics and SDGs in this digital transformation era. This can be seen from the research produced from the call for papers, subsequently published in proceedings and journals, serving as tangible evidence of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga's contribution to the development of knowledge and civilization," he stated on Friday (6/10/2023).
Not forgetting, Dr. Afdawaiza expressed gratitude to all parties who supported the organization of this international conference. The total number of participants reached 361 people participating directly in the international conference, involving students, lecturers, and the academic community of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, as well as co-hosts.
On the first day, Thursday, October 5, 2023, an International Conference agenda was held, involving 6 speakers from both domestic and international backgrounds, including Prof. Dr. Marco Tieman (Chief Executive of The International League of Nations), Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiansyah (UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Indonesia), Ahmad Zaky (Deputy for Legal and Compliance of BPKH), Prof. Dr. Syafiq Mahmadah Hanafi (UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Mansor H. Ibrahim (Deputy President Academic INCEIF), Akhmad Akbar Susamto, SE, M.Phil., Ph.D (Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia).
On the second day, Friday, October 6, 2023, the agenda included the presentation of the call for papers. The call for papers is one of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga's contributions to addressing current issues. The total selected papers presented were 61 from 23 universities, both domestic and international.
