The Student Executive Board (DEMA) of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business UIN Sunan Kalijaga held the Grand Final and Coronation of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Ambassadors 2024 on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the Convention Hall, 1st Floor, UIN Sunan Kalijaga. As part of the annual Febillionaire series of events, this program received positive responses and was attended by academicians, fashion practitioners, and the general public. The 10 participants in this event are the selected students from the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business through a rigorous selection process.
In his remarks, Moh. Arifal Abror, the Chairman of DEMA-FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga, conveyed that this event was part of developing students' talents and interests. He emphasized that students, often perceived as busy with academic activities, possess extraordinary talents. "DEMA-FEBI is committed to nurturing these talents through activities that contribute to the faculty. These FEBI ambassadors will help promote the dynamic learning environment and progressive student activities," he said enthusiastically. He also expressed gratitude to the sponsors, including Bank Indonesia, Bening’s Clinic Yogyakarta, Kahf, and other sponsors.
Before officially opening the event, the Dean of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiansyah, SE., M.Si., K.CA., ACPA. delivered remarks expressing his pride in the Grand Final and Coronation of the FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Ambassadors 2024. Prof. Misnen, as he is fondly called, commended the organizing committee and the FEBI Student Executive Board for their excellent work in organizing this student event as a platform to showcase student talents. He expressed his sincere hope that this event would nurture students possessing exceptional academic and non-academic qualifications. In his views, FEBI Ambassadors are individuals who not only excel in academic pursuits, demonstrating proficiency in theoretical knowledge and published research but also possess a diverse range of specialized skills.
Concluding his remarks, the Dean also expressed his deep gratitude for the presence and role of the Grand Final judges, including the Top 15 Indonesian Tourism Ambassadors 2024, the Winner of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Campus Ambassador 2024, and well-known fashion owners in Yogyakarta. He also expressed his gratitude to Anniza Citra Prajasari, SE.I., M.A., one of the judges who had been recommended by the FEBI Deanate. "With the hope of Allah SWT's blessings, we officially open this event with the recitation of Basmallah," said the Dean as he opened the event.
During the break after the opening ceremony, Dr. Ibi Satibi, S.H.I., the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, who also accompanied the Dean, greeted the committee and fully supported the event. With a full tone of enthusiasm, he said that such an event was a synergy between talent, knowledge, creativity, and fighting spirit. Therefore, he hoped that the elected FEBI Ambassadors could inspire other FEBI students to be creative and contribute to academic achievements and other talents.
