Yogyakarta, November 22, 2024 – The Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) UIN Sunan Kalijaga successfully held a "Textbook Writing Training" attended by lecturers from various study programs. The event, held at the Grand Rohan Hotel in Yogyakarta, aimed to provide in-depth insights into the process of writing textbooks that meet national publishing standards.
The training featured Dr. Hayat, S.AP., M.Si., Director of UNISMA Press and author of 60 textbooks, as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, Dr. Hayat elaborated on the essential components of a textbook, including content structure, engaging material presentation, and aspects of layout and graphic design. Additionally, he shared practical tips on developing ideas, organizing content frameworks, and writing in a style that is easily understandable for students.
"Writing a textbook is not merely about delivering material; it’s also about making learning more engaging and meaningful for students," said Dr. Hayat.
The discussion session was dynamic, with participants actively sharing experiences and discussing challenges in textbook writing. The event served as a platform for exchanging ideas to create relevant and high-quality teaching materials.
Dr. Sunaryati, SE., M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FEBI, expressed her appreciation for the lecturers' enthusiasm in attending the training. We hope this training will mark the beginning of high-quality textbooks that support learning within FEBI," she stated in her remarks.
The event, which proceeded smoothly and enthusiastically, concluded with the presentation of certificates and mementos to the speaker, followed by a group photo session. Participants expressed optimism and enthusiasm for applying the skills gained in their respective works.
