The Dean of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga expressed appreciation for PAF MNK & Partners’ willingness to host AKS FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga students for the MBKM internship. Additionally, he emphasized that the MBKM internship provides a pivotal opportunity for students to gain practical insights into the accounting profession, “If they learn theoretical aspects on campus, during the internship, students will learn through practice,” he said.
Prof. Misnen expressed similar sentiments. Through the MBKM internship program, AKS students will become more competent and equipped to become accountants. “To become an accountant, it’s not enough to just learn the theory; one must also learn directly from the experts, by practicing,” said the first accounting professor at FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
According to the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Ahmad Salehudin, the MBKM internship at PAF MNK & Partners is an effort to shortcut the knowledge of becoming an accountant. Through the internship at PAF MNK & Partners, students will not only gain knowledge but also direct experience in becoming auditors. “Make the most of this internship opportunity to gain knowledge and experiential investment,” Salehudin said.
The Chair of Sharia Accounting Program, Rosyid Nur Anggara Putra, stated that the MBKM internship at PAF MNK & Partners will last for four months, equivalent to 20 credits. During the MBKM internship, students will not attend classes on campus. “Students will intern for a full four months, without attending classes on campus,” he said.
The Managing Partner of PAF MNK & Partners, Dr. Mahsun, expressed his pride in having his firm used for student internships. He hopes that students will embody the spirit of accountants while learning at PAF MNK & Partners. Students must understand that the working hours of accountants are very flexible, depending on whether it’s peak or low season. “During peak season, an accountant can work full 24 hours,” said Dr. Mahsun, who is also the head of the Financial Criminology Study Center (PUSAKA)."
