Yogyakarta, October 22, 2024 – As a token of gratitude for the successful series of the 9th Sharia Finance Expo (SFE) and in commemoration of National Santri Day on October 22, the Student Association of the Sharia Finance Management Study Program (HMPS-MKS) at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business held a sholawat (a form of prayer or supplication asking for blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad) and hadroh (a traditional Islamic musical art) performance in the courtyard of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Polyclinic on Monday, November 21, 2024. In addition to the FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga leadership, including Dean Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiansyah, SE., M.Si., K.CA., ACPA., Vice Dean II Dr. H. Muhamad Yazid Afandi, M.Ag., and Vice Dean III Dr. Ibi Satibi S.H.I., M.Si., the event was also attended by the HMPS MKS executive board, FEBI students, and the academic community of UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
The sholawat event was even more lively with the special attendance of Habib Anis bin Haidar bin Yahya and Gus Atrof Husain El-Hakim. With great enthusiasm and in the hope of receiving blessings through the recitation of the sholawat, the congregation filled the courtyard of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga polyclinic, which was also attended by members of the general public.
Ade Muhammad Baihaqi, the Chairman of HMPS MKS FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga, stated that the 9th Sharia Finance Expo (SFE) featured various competitions, including a national-level Business Plan competition, a national-level Essay competition, a regional-level Stocklab competition for DIY-Central Java, a regional-level Futsal competition for DIY-Central Java, and a regional-level E-Sport (MLBB) competition for DIY-Central Java. In his remarks, Baihaqi expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga for their support, which made the organization of shalawat and hadroh events possible. Addressing the attendees, Baihaqi expressed his heartfelt gratitude while also acknowledging that he was unable to extend a perfect welcome to such a large gathering. Therefore, in concluding his remarks, Mr. Baihaqi offered his apologies for any shortcomings and expressed his hope that in 2025, the FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga would be able to organize an even more magnificent sholawat and hadroh event. He also extended his sincere thanks to all the supporters and sponsors of the event, including PK Group, PT Pintu Kemana Saja, Maz Win Deo Spray, Apple House, Public Gold Indonesia, and other sponsors who cannot be named individually.
In his remarks on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiansyah emphasized that the sholawat and hadrah event further strengthens the spiritual energy to enhance academic services within the faculty. He emphasized the significance of cultivating such religious traditions within the campus that nurtures both Islamic values and knowledge. The Dean expressed his high appreciation to the committee and the entire HMPS-MKS board for their dedicated efforts in organizing this blessed event and contributing to the community. Furthermore, the Dean humbly requests the congregation to offer their sincere prayers for the continued success of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga. May we remain steadfast in providing excellent academic services, enhancing research quality, strengthening international networks, and fostering an inclusive and collaborative campus environment. With unwavering dedication and discipline, Insya Allah, FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga will be capable of providing progressive solutions and elevating our institution to a more competitive global standing," concluded the Dean.
The event, commencing at 8:00 PM WIB, concluded at 10:30 PM WIB with a prayer led by Habib Anis bin Haidar bin Yahya. During the informal gathering after the event, M. Gabriel Fatahillah Munir, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, expressed his gratitude for the success and smooth execution of the sholawat and hadroh event. (Isya)
