Yogyakarta – Several lecturers from the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) UIN Sunan Kalijaga have achieved prestigious awards at the 2025 Islamic Economist Association (IAEI) DIY Award. The event took place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the SM Tower Ballroom in Malioboro, Yogyakarta, and was attended by lecturers, academics, and practitioners in Islamic economics and finance throughout the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Also present at the event was the Dean of FEBI, Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiansyah, S.E., M.Si., Ak. CA., ACPA.

In his remarks, the Chairman of DPW IAEI DIY, Akhmad Akbar Susamto, SE., M.Phil., Ph.D., stated that the event encompassed two main agendas. First, the annual meeting of IAEI DIY members, aimed at evaluating the annual work programs as part of the extension of the National IAEI at the regional level. Second, the presentation of the 2025 IAEI DIY Award as a form of appreciation to Islamic economics experts who have contributed to spreading Islamic da’wah in Islamic economics, both nationally and internationally.

FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta successfully won awards in several categories, both as an institution and individually. The Master of Islamic Economics Program, FEBI, UIN Sunan Kalijaga received an award as the Organizer of Master's Program in the Institutional category. Meanwhile, several FEBI lecturers won awards in the categories of International Journal Articles, Monograph Books, Textbook Publications, and International Book Chapter.

These awards serve as tangible evidence of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga's contributions to advancing Islamic economics studies and enhancing academic quality at both national and international levels. With this achievement, it is hoped that more lecturers and academics will be inspired to continue innovating and contributing to the field of Islamic economics and finance. Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiansyah, S.E., M.Si., Ak. CP., ACPA., also expressed his hope that this recognition would motivate the academic community to continue producing impactful work and contributing to the broader development of Islamic economics.
