Students from FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta secured the 3rd place in the Islamic Economics Scientific Writing Competition, held by the Student Committee for Islamic Economic Development (SCIED) from April 25 to May 1, 2021 at Ibn Khaldun University in Bogor. The successful participants were M. The competition took place online via the Zoom Meeting platform, with teams from several universities across Indonesia taking part. Notable universities that secured positions in the top 5 include Brawijaya University, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Telkom University, Ibn Khaldun University in Bogor, and STEI SEBI.
Hanif mentioned that in this competition, the top 5 teams had the chance to present their work in front of the judges. The team’s motivation and dedication ultimately propelled them to become the champions.
“We aimed to gain experience and refine our writing and research skills. Our aspiration was to engage in knowledge exchange with prominent universities across Indonesia,” said Hanif.
“We hope to inspire more students to take part in writing competitions. Additionally, during a pandemic, we believe that students should utilize their time for constructive and productive pursuits, such as engaging in writing competitions,” Hanif added.”
