Subsequently, the Plenary Session featured three speakers: Prof. Iftekhar Hasan, Fordham University, USA, on “Lending, Trust, and Policy Challenges in the New Digital Era”; Prof. Jonathan Batten, University Utara, Malaysia, on “Development Issues in Asia and the Pacific: Asset Price Impacts of Commodity Price Shocks”; and Prof. Iwan Jaya Azis, Cornell University, USA, on “Changing Global Economic Landscape Poses A Challenge For Monetary Policy.”

The event included 4 Parallel Sessions covering 9 sub-themes, such as global economic landscape shift, macroeconomic dynamics, macro-financial linkages, post-GFC policy implications, macroeconomic fundamentals, new growth model, digital innovation, payment system platform and new financial services, and development issues in Asia and the Pacific. The author presented on the sub-theme of digital innovation by mapping out Islamic fintech in Indonesia.

The outcome of the event was the publication of scientific papers in several Scopus-indexed journals.
