The Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is committed to delivering top-notch service to all its students. This includes the optimization of the Indonesia Stock Exchange investment gallery at FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga. In line with this effort, FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga held a meeting with the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Danareksa BRI, and Drs. RTM Maharani, M.M., the Head of the Cooperation Subdivision at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of FEBI Dr. Afdawaiza, M.Ag., the Vice Dean for Finance and Administration Dr. Sunaryati, M.Si., the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation Dr. Ahmad Salehudin, MA., the Cooperation Department Head of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Drs. RTM Maharani, M.M., the Head of the Indonesia Stock Exchange Representative for the Special Region of Yogyakarta Irfan Noor Riza, and Wahyu as the representative of Danareksa BRI.
Dr. Afdawaiza, M.Ag., highlighted the positive collaboration between FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga, the Indonesia Stock Exchange Yogyakarta, and Dana Reksa BRI, particularly in the context of learning activities and investment practices in the stock exchange, notably through the Capital Market Study Group (KSPM). However, Dr. Afdawaiza also emphasized the potential for further development of this cooperation to enhance productivity, such as by supporting research activities and MBKM.
In response, Irfan, the head of the Indonesia Stock Exchange Representative in Yogyakarta, expressed his appreciation for the Dean of FEBI’s remarks. He stated that the Dean’s comments align with the Indonesia Stock Exchange’s objective of promoting stock exchange literacy among the public, including students. Additionally, Irfan mentioned the presence of the Financial Services Industry Communication Forum (FKIJK) DIY in Yogyakarta, which conducts programs like business incubation and MBKM.
Ahmad Salehudin, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation of FEBI, expressed his aspiration for the optimization of the Indonesian stock exchange investment gallery at FEBI to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in this field. He noted that the Tracer Study findings indicate a relatively low number of alumni who pursue careers as stock exchange practitioners. Therefore, he emphasized the importance of this optimization in developing students’ skills, with the aim of increasing the number of graduates who enter this profession.
